Every beat, every lyric, and every melody is worth exploring. The Studio is our space to learn and take risks. No matter where you are in the creative process, we'd love to help you turn your ideas into music. Simply put: If you show up for your art, we will too!
Our studio is located at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in West Seattle and is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3-6pm. The Fall 2017 season opens on September 25 and closes on December 7. If you're 13-19 years old and are interested in working with us, here's how:
1. Email us at email@example.com and briefly tell us why you're interested in Totem Star. Are you a singer? Rapper? Do you make beats? Play any instruments? Maybe you're not interested in making the music, but want to learn the business behind it? Are you interested in photo or video? Tell us what you're interested in!
2. Schedule a time to come to the studio. Meet the team and we'll discuss the logistics of moving forward with your project. You'll meet an amazing community of artists, musicians, and potential collaborators!
3. We'll send you a scheduling app so you can book studio time. Studio time can be used for many different things! Recording, beat making, vocal lessons, and instrument lessons are some of the popular ways our artists have been using their time. Totem Star is youth-directed, which means you direct, and we support!
