Every beat, every lyric, and every melody is worth exploring. The Studio is our space to learn and take risks. No matter where you are in the creative process, we'd love to help you turn your ideas into music. Simply put: If you show up for your art, we will too!
Our studio is located at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in West Seattle and is open on Mondays and Thursdays from 3-6pm and Wednesdays from 12-6pm. The Winter 2018 season begins on January 8 and ends on April 30 (closed January 15 and February 19 to February 23).
If you're 13-19 years old and are interested in working with us, here's how:
1. Fill out the Artist Info Form. Are you a singer? Rapper? Do you make beats? Play any instruments? This form gives us the information we need to engage with you further.
2. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a 1-on-1 sit down with us. Meet the team and we'll discuss the logistics of moving forward with your project. You'll meet an amazing community of artists, musicians, and potential collaborators!
3. Once you complete items 1 & 2 above, you will be given the password to book a studio slot through the button below. Studio time can be used for many different things! Recording, beat making, vocal lessons, and instrument lessons are some of the popular ways our artists have been using their time. Totem Star is youth-directed, which means you direct, and we support!
